This spread sheet can be used to track all of your expenditures, see where you spend your money, keep your accounts balanced, and help you create a working budget.
I know that there are many other systems out there, I’ve tried a number of them. For some reason or another I didn’t like them; they were either too complicated, didn’t provide the information I wanted in one place, or didn’t have some other feature that I was looking for. So I decided to create something that I would use. I started out with a simple spreadsheet and added some basic categories to track my expenses. As I continued to use it I discovered a number of flaws. Each time I found one I fixed it and continued using the new, updated system.
Over time I added the ability to not only know where the money was being spent, but which account it came from (while balancing those accounts), a budgeting system, and a running monthly average to help with the budgeting.
