Girls and boys day. Norma, Ash, Britt and the girls went into town so the nieces could spend their Christmas moneys. Matt and I ran some errands and then went hiking back along the property, joined by Mark and his son. One of the cats (Midnight) followed us and wandered off. Back at the house, we watched a movie and ate left-over pizza. The girls returned. Matt and I headed back out to find the cat in the dark. Bailee made popcorn and we watched The Giver.
In to work, talked with Jeramiah about marketing plan for the shop - I'm incharge of email and videos for FaceBook/YouTube. Slow day. Home forleft-overs for supper.
In to work for a busy day at the store, especially in the frame shop. Homeafterward to a pizza supper waiting and ready to go. Delicious anddelightful!
Mostly slept through the night - just woke up and rolled over when Ashleyand Lily got up. Then awake at regular time - made tea and got fire goingand such while Lily was feeding. Then she and I went downstairs and letAshley have the bed to herself - she got about 3 hours of sleep. I took anap after Ashley got up - really made a difference. Then I made breakfastand got ready to head out. Only a couple inches of snow, so didn't evenbother shoveling. In to the store for the sign and to check on things -everythings in good shape and I'm ok to work slowly and intermittently.Chatted with Stephanie and everyone for a few minutes before getting thesign done. Grabbed groceries at City Market and a few other things atWalmart. Chatted with Mom during the drive home. Then Lily hopped in thesling and helped me put away groceries and such while Ashley grabbed ashower and took a bit of a nap before bedtime.
In to the store to open for the day and be there as needed - which wasn'ttoo much. Got some maintenance and admin stuff done. Picked up a fewgroceries. Home a bit early and we had porkchops for supper. Mom and Garypacked up and are mostly ready to go. Ashley and I moved the RV and put thecover on for the pending snow. Found out that Jeff Paffendorf passed awayin a backcountry avalanche. How sad!
Nice to be home again! We had chaffles for breakfast and puttered aroundthe house. Lily opened her last two gifts - books from the Basye's and atool set from Mom and Gary. I narrowed down my keyring and tinkered withprojects around the house. Made a cardboard toolbox for Lily that matchesmy wood one. I shoveled snow from the porches, RV, and vehicles - justdrove over the berm a bunch in the Jeep. After Lily's nap we all watchedthe Grinch - Lily's first movie and she made it through about a year and ahalf, and ate most of her and Ashley's popcorn. :D We had supper, then readfor a bit before heading to bed.
Lily was feeling better but still a bit under the weather. We spent the dayat home. Took down Christmas decorations. I got some chores done - coveredthe RV with a tarp, brought in firewood, filled the trailer with trash, etc. Ashley and Lily called Norma and chatted for quite a bit before, coming out to play a bit in the evening. Lily wanted to ride her bicycleand was able to sit on the seat and touch the ground - so she walked itdown the driveway a few times - her first riding times! Reading before bedtime.
