Fabulous day with Matt and the girls. Britt had to head to work, we got some baking and shopping done. Christmas cookies and then pizza for supper. Jim and Norma arrived to round out the evening.
Slept in a bit late and after coffee ran for groceries. Shoveled snow offof driveway then hopped in hot tub to warm up. I napped and Ashley ran tothe grocery store for a last couple of items. We cooked and prepped fortomorrow. Drove around looking for Christmas lights, then to Nathan andLindsey's house. Enjoyed chatting with them and meeting some of theirfriends. Invitations for tomorrow went both ways. We headed home and Iprepped the Bullet cookies to cook for tomorrow.
In to work - busy day in the store and pretty calm in the frame shop.Closed just a few minutes after 4 and Ashley picked me up after the churchservice and we headed to Philip and Stephanie's. Great supper with theirfamily and friends - though we brought home most of the desserts that webrought, so there's far too many at home now! Stephanie gave us a gift aswe headed out, so we'll open that tomorrow.
Still at the hospital - the days basically run together. I carried Lilydown to the nursery for a couple of tests and medicine applications, etc, then pushed her back to the room in a bassinet. We hung out at the hospitalall day, trying to get a little bit of sleep and just spending time witheach other. We had phone/video calls with family, visits from Jeff and Nate(who work there), etc. Everything's going well. A nurse came and offered amassage for Ashley, got a couple of tips from the lactation consultant, andgenerally hung out. Nate bought me breakfast in the cafeteria. I went outfor supper and grabbed a couple of slices from HomeSlice (not a lot ofoptions on Christmas Eve). They gave us the option to spend the night orhead on home, and we decided home would be nicer (especially with a stormmoving in). We were discharged about 11:30 and made it home about 12:15.There was some snow on the ground and it was very foggy and thus slowgoing, but we made it home without any problems. Settled in at home and Iunloaded the car, set up the bed-side bassinet, got things ready, and weheaded toward bed.
Up early and got a bit of writing done (On Time Manipulation). Afterbreakfast I headed into the store. It was busy but not rushed so I wasn'treally needed much. I double-checked the sales figures for the month so farand we're ahead of my projections - figured out where I'm behind onexpected spending, too. Home for the afternoon. Made cookies and watchedthe Christmas Eve service. Prepped the not-bullet cookies. Read for a bitbefore heading to bed.
Lily slept in late, but Ashley and I woke early. Nice to sit and read andsip our coffees in the morning before getting going for the day. I headedin to the store to be available for the day - but it was fairly slow(everyone came in yesterday to beat the pending snow that fell all daytoday). Lily decided she wanted to sit in my chair, and did both meals. Gotthe email for next week written and scheduled. Home in the evening. We hadpizza for supper and read before heading to bed.
Breakfast and some playing before heading to the store for the day. Steadybut not a huge burst. Kristen left a bit late and Anna left right at threeso I finished closing up the store. Took care of a few chores while I hadthe store to myself. Home and then we went to to HeartWood for the Pasada.Nice to visit and lots of fun. Hated to leave early but nice to be home ontime for bedtime routine.
