Ashley's still sick. Spent most of the day at home. We talked about findingproperty with utilities available/accessible and putting a smiling woodsyurt on it, so I looked up those and considered plans. We went for a driveto get out of the house and look at a couple of properties before headinghome for the evening.
Woke to snow on the ground! Very pretty and not enough to really beannoying. Ashley had the day off and I headed in to work. Took a few extraminutes to get to town and then Florida was backed up and stopped so anextra half an hour to get to the store. Definitely should have hopped overto Main and gone in that way! Late to work and had the place to myselfsince Robin was out at the dentist and Lexis was also stuck waiting fortraffic. She made it eventually and I got the order placed. Picked up asnow shovel at Ace. Then time for the creative team meeting at church andsupper included, so that was nice. Home for the evening to look at rugs (noluck) with Ashley before bed.
Work from home day. Made progress with bookkeeping and catching up. Lookedthrough old letters and photos and winnowed down the collection. Madeburgers and home-made potato chips and such for supper. Almost had it allready when Ashley got home from her long day, after her meeting at church.Ate, read for a bit before bed.
Relaxed around the hotel. Went for a walk up the road just a bit. Walkedaround town and looked in shop windows (most places were closed for theseason). Soaked in the hot tub. Grabbed supper from a burger place.
Worked in the frame shop today. The day seemed long. Made some progress onvarious projects but didn't finish anything. Apparently Lily had a reallyshort nap so she was in bed when I got home. Read for a bet before headingto bed myself.
I stayed home and installed trim in the bedroom - it looks much better nowthat it's finally done (a couple of years later?) Someone came and pickedup the riding mower, I cut down some too-long firewood pieces, and also cutdown some plywood to fit in the fireplace hole where the pellet stove usedto be. We covered the plywood with contact paper and it looks much betternow (and warmer since the cold air is blocked). Whew! ready for bed.
