Went to yoga with Ashley this morning. Got some blog posts uploaded and almost ready to go. Finished up some emails. Worked on the French-Hold Done For You Cards site - think it's basically ready to send out tofriends/family for initial impressions. I'm thinking that if it gets at least 5 people signed up then it's worth pursuing. But I don't want to do that until after we're out of the parks. So I think it's going to be on hold until after we get off of the mountain, Rainier. Then we'll have enough signal that I can respond to questions in a reasonable amount of time. Went to coffee shop for a bit of a break. Got more work done - Ashley planned routes for different hiking trips. Set up this journal entry form - daily journals via email. Right now it just goes to the journal@french-holt.comemail. but I can set it up later so that they are all downloaded and use a script of some sort to strip the extraneous data out of the files and just have the dated journal entries. And this I can do via email anywhere - using my phone or whatever. Very handy. And with the date hard-coded into the subject it'll be easy to figure out when they are meant to be... even if I reply in the wrong order.
Most everyone headed to Tybee Island for more fish wrangling. Norma and Jimwent into town to do the trolley tour. Ashley and I headed to The CollinsQuarter for brunch. Everything was delicious, but it was too much food sostuffed for quite awhile. Went to the cathedral, but it was closed for aservice, again, so Ashley waited for me on a park bench and I sketched thebuilding. Then it started to rain... we headed to La Papiere to check outstationery and fountain pens. We were soaked - so it was time to head backto the house to change into dry duds. Ashley worked and I puttered aroundonline. Everyone got home and we went for Leopold's Ice Cream (the 5th bestin the world!) and back to the house.
Mural meeting early today for the steering committee - great response andsome good feedback to make it even better and more inclusive. After thatmeeting split up we added some more details and colored in the roughsketch. Then off to the shop for a few minutes before lunch at 11th StreetStation and headed to the painting class. Lexa and I were the only onesthere so we painted the next two paintings, skipping back and forth. Lotsof fun and a good finale to the painting class. No shows at the drawingclass so I painted a couple of things, just playing around. Then headed offto pick up Ashley (who wrapped up early) and we headed home. Nice to behome early! Steak and veggies on the grill for supper, then watched thelast of Friends before bed.
Up fairly early - delicious breakfast of french toast bananas foster andsausage! Deb and Craig loaned us their Jeep, since they were just going tobe parking it all day after picking up their boat for the day. So we packedand walked over to where they left it and headed to Annabel ruins. Checkedout the site and then walked along the shore/trail to the Waterlemon Keyfor some snorkeling - saw a 4' shark swim by, about 15' away from me. Weheaded out to the key to check it out and saw a bunch of tiny jellyfish(they were translucent, so water ghosts! Could just barely see an outlineof them) and a couple of squid. Very cool! Then we drove back closer totown and stopped at Hawksnest beach. Ate lunch and I sketched for a bitbefore we donned the snorkels - lots of neat coral there and a crazy long, thin fish that we don't recognize in the least. Back to town for a gasfill-up and checked out the other grocery store briefly. Then back to dropoff the Jeep - perfect timing as they had just returned with the boat as wepulled up. Over to the house for a quick clean-up before heading out forsupper. The place wasn't open yet so we made reservations and went down theroad, grabbing a drink and appetizer while waiting. Then back to ExtraVirgin Bistro - delicious meal all the way around. Just a shame we were toofull for dessert. Then back home to read before heading to bed.
Watched Lily while Ashley worked. In at lunch to watch the store forLexis's break. Home and made asparagus soup and bread for supper. Reallytasty!
We all slept in late. After breakfast I motorcycle to work. Builtshelves/backing for the store, ran some errands. Home before it started torain and Ashley had supper ready. We discussed the trip to KY in October(still not sure what to do). Watched a show before bed.
Lily, Matt and I went to WalMart in the morning. We grabbed a few morethings for everyone. I ended up feeling poorly as the day went on.
Work day. Home to have supper with Ashley and Lily.
Ashley and Lily came to Durango. Lily and I went to the hardware storewhile Ashley chatted with Robin. Then we walked over to Primi for supper. We watched the Mini Cooper parade pass by while waiting for our meal toarrive. Then home and bedtime. (A late one, so it didn't go great.)
