Day to ourselves - made coffee in the RV, had omlettes, and loaded upbicycles in the truck. Drove to Cades Cove and rode around the loop.Stopped for sandwiches at a nearby bakery as we left - delicious anddefinitely worth visiting again! Picked up coffee in Gatlinburg and thenheaded back to the house. The girls had VBS so we got to have tacos forsupper as adults.
Work day. Enjoyed the drive in this morning. Jeramiah met with Basin togive a Letter of Intent (basically a soft offer) and they didn't dislikeit, so that's a good sign. Stopped and picked up a new handle at Lowes onthe way home. Chatted with Mom during the drive and made it until the last100' of the house. Rekeyed and switched out the front door knob, so one keyopens all of the house locks now. Chatted with Ashley on the phone for afew minutes (poor reception) and grilled steak and taters for supper.
Work day - opened the store and took care of some paperwork. Home andcalled Mom and Tobey to let them know we're expecting - Norma didn't answerthe phone. Weedeated most of the yard. Don got back from his trip aroundthe loop and shared about the trip. A bit of reading and a shower beforebed.
Got the blackout blinds installed in the bedroom last night and they workedreally well - I slept pretty soundly. Up this morning and grabbed a shower.Had to wake Lily early from her nap to make it to the pediatrician on time. She got her shots - definitely still not liking people in masks. Home and Ifed her more sweet potato and then milk before heading off to the store.Busy day, right up until closing time. Then picked up groceries and home.Ashley had supper waiting - what a nice surprise! We took care of somechores together and read before bed.
Worked for much of the day (but got to ride the motorcycle - nice to beback on it after a few weeks away). Went through the mats and got rid ofthe discontinued ones. Home for supper and read before bed.
Rainy day, still (but we ended up with about 2.25 inches total over theweekend!) I made pancakes for breakfast. After Lily's nap we went for adrive up past Vallecito, turned around when a weather warning said thathail was incoming. Went toward Bayfield and the hail caught us - a car wascoming toward us in our lane and we had to get off the road to get out ofthe way! Home and I covered the garden plants before the hail got there.Good thing we didn't have any plans, Lily wasn't being very cooperative. She basically skipped her nap, never falling asleep. Then she threw apretty horrid fit at bed time.
