Headed to the Smokies with Britt and the girls. Bought Jr Ranger books for H annah and Bri and worked through those as we explored the museum and watched the video. Then up the road to ClingMans Dome (the highest point in both th e park and Tennessee!) back to the visitor center to earn badges. Stopped fo r frozen yogurt and to pick up groceries before heading to the house to enjo y some Tuscany sauce over shells for supper. Worked on the hot water heater w hile supper was being worked on but no hot water yet.
Phone calls this morning to set up utilities at our to-be new house then into work. Spent most of the day in the frame shop, knocking out pre-madeframes and helping Robin with projects, learning more about how it allworks. The pre-closing paperwork arrived with final closing costs involvedand such, for us to sign by tomorrow. Home and Ashley just arrived withsupper, then out for a stroll after eating. E-signed the paperwork and thenhaircut and shower time before bed.
In to work early to snag burritos from the Coffee Merchant on the way. Tookcare of a few chores before meeting with Jeramiah. Just the two of us,again, but enjoyed a lunch at Steamworks. Wrapped up and back to the storefor a bit before grabbing groceries and going to pick up Ashley and headhome. Pretty tired day so movie night.
Slept in a touch late. Hung out with Ashley and Lily before heading intotown to cover Kristen's lunch at the store. Then off to Bill's for an earlysupper, with Ashley and Lily meeting there. Grilled bbq chicken, potatoes, and corn on the cob with cake and ice cream for dessert. Delightful tovisit with Bill and Janet and just chat. LIly wasn't sure at first butfairly quickly settled in and was comfortable. Bob and his family walkedby, the trail runs right behind the house so it was nice to chat with themat least briefly. Then home and we drove up to Vallecito to give Lily alonger nap. I got the wiring harness for trailer lights installed on theJeep, rewired the trailer lights so that they work, and got the battery inthe RV and moved it so that it's more hidden by the trees. Then read a bitbefore bed.
Lily woke up early, feeling poorly. She felt worse as the day went on, withquot gaspsquot at the close of each breathe. She napped early in the morning withAshley beside her. I cleaned the windows in the house while they napped. Then we relaxed on the couch for a bit but ultimately headed to thehospital to get her checked out. They ran a bunch of tests but everythingwas inconclusive (she had great results but was obviously feeling poorly)so we spent the night for observation. She felt better about 6pm, justtired, and seemed her normal self. I ran home for some clothes and to putthe chickens up for the night, then came back.
During the night Ashley brought Lily into bed (it was dark and she couldn'tsee anything and didn't like that). I woke early and eventually got up andstarted coffee and went to the bathroom. I made eggs and crumpets forbreakfast, then we took a couple of laps around the campground loop onLily's bicycle. I raised the seat a bit and she seemed to like it better. Then I headed to Durango to check in at the store. Took care of a fewchores, grabbed some things at the store and headed home to drop offchicken feed/scratch and pick up a few things from the house. Then back tothe campground. We chatted a bit then went to the river to play - Lily inthe sand and me with a painting. Ashley made pasta for supper and we had afire and more s'mores. It started to rain so we put everything away andthen spent some time inside before heading to bed.
