Packed up and left J&J RV Park to head into Hot Springs Nat Park. Easy parking and walked along Bathhouse row, then along the Promenade and up Peak Trail below the watch tower. Back down and explored the houses -really enjoyed seeing the Fordyce building and decorations and the modern implements used at the time. The Ozark had art, great to see work from past Artists in Residence - I could do some of that! Had lunch at the nearby Kollective Coffee + Tea - delicious sandwiches and great coffee! Finally picked up post cards, filled our water bottles in the hot spring fountain(tasty!) and hit the road. Made it just into MO for the night.
Whew... what a day! Never really got to sleep last night. Ashley's stomachwas hurting as we headed to bed. I got up and read for a bit with a snackbut that didn't help. She felt even worse so about 3:30 we headed to the ER(the only place open). I came home midmorning for a quick nap and foodbefore heading back to be with her during her tests and doctor visits.Turns out she had a partial small intestinal blockage - caused by a comboof a litttle dehydrated and fiber/carb heavy supper. She spent the day inthe hospital but was able to come home about supper time! I ran to thegrocery store while she grabbed a shower and then headed to bed. Madesupper for myself and called it a night.
In to work a bit early. Got a lot of the order placed for new products andsuch. Robin and I walked down to the Gabyldon gallery but didn't catchKaren. She bought wraps from RGP's as a treat for Kristen and I. Picked upAshley at the end of the day and we headed home. I called Bill and we wentover some bookkeeping and tax stuffs. Then movie watching and bed time.
In to the store for the day to check in and take care of all the littletasks. Received the PayPal money and list of purchases for the auction, sothat's nice. Got the disbursement of the items started. Picked up groceriesand home for the evening. Watered strawberries and generally wound down forthe evening.
We packed and dropped the chickens off at Evanne's for the weekend. Thenhit the road for Basalt and the workshop at CRMPI in Basalt. Lily did agreat job traveling. We stopped a few times at parks for snacks and such(nice to have picnics along the way). She napped briefly going over the twopasses and otherwise pretty much hung out. Arrived at the yurt and lovedit. Outdoor shower and a composting toilet. Unpacked and got settled. Lilywas too tired and it was a new place (only her second time sleepingsomewhere else) so Ashley ended up sleeping next to her on the pull-out bedabout half the night.
Bit of a chore day. I put a new screen in the front door. Jack finished upthe septic tank. I changed out the wheels/tires on the car. Ashley and Lilyhelped plant potatoes and onions in the high tunnel. I tested out thebattery and charging system in the Jeep (the battery's definitely bad!) Putaway the mini greenhouse, as we're not going to be using it this season.
