Next stop is Puerta del Sol, an alpaca farm on the way to Albuquerque. We stop and get some chores done online at a Starbucks, partially to help us not arrive too early. We pull in and have a fun tour by one of the owners,Kathy - met some of the alpacas, saw the chickens and new raised garden beds, and heard about the procedure for processing the wool - including the spinning wheel and loom that David (the other owner) is learning to use! He made it back just at sunset and we chatted with him - quite an interesting fellow! for a bit before buying some wool yoga socks for Ashley and fresh eggs for us! Stayed up quite late reading.
Dropped Ashley off at work, then Mom and Gary at the RV. They made it outeasily enough. Then home to grab work keys and off to work for the day.
In to work for the day. We brainstormed remodel details and set a date(second weekend in May!) I went at lunch to paint for a bit by the river.Ashley picked me up and we headed home. Tired, so early bedtime!
Home all day. Ashley had a bit of work to wrap up and I took care of a fewthings during Lily's naps. We went for a walk around the neighborhood. Putthe picnic table and porch furniture back out. Nice day to be home.
Up early to open the store for the day. Lauren was feeling poorly and leftearly, which allowed me to get work done on the lights in the frame shop.Ended up staying till about 10 but got them all installed and cleaned upafter myself. Also got the motorcycle seat stapled back together and theframing laptop updated. Home and read through my quail notes to see what Ineed to get set up to run them this year.
Nice to be home. Lily and I went to the Treehouse while Ashley stayed home.Home for lunch (cheese, sausage, and cracker trays) then both Lily and Itook a nap. Erika and Bexley stopped by for a brief playtime before headinghome for supper. Lily and I went to feed the cows while Ashley put togetherpizza. Then reading before bed.
