Fabulous day spent with Ashley. Woke early and stopped by Panera Bread on the way to the hospital for a free bagel and cookie. Sketched the helicopter while waiting for Ash to get off work. At home, she made ham, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches for breakfast with some lattes. Delicious! Then we watched a movie and napped a bit before heading into town for a stop at the coffee shop. I wore my new Wool and Prince shirt- excellent! We chatted and I sketched. Then out to a new Italian restaurant for a delicious supper. Back home for a movie, affogato, and then bed.
Birthday day! Got up and made coffee for Ashley and everyone else trickledout. I dropped Ashley off at work after stopping for donuts (closed onTuesdays) and then for pastries at Nature's Oasis. The day-old chocolatesthat I got turned out to be spinch and Norma was less than thrilled withthem. We got ready and picked up Ashley then headed to Nayarit's forMexican for lunch. Delicious and way too much! Ashley took the car and weswitched to the rental for a trip up to Molas pass and then a quick circlethrough Silverton. Snow was starting to fall there so we hightailed it backdown the mountains. Timing was just about perfect on all fronts! Detouredup to the Fort for the views of town and then a short stop at the grocerystore for cupcakes and a block of Tillamook cheese for Jim to take homethen home for the evening. Popcorn and cupcakes for supper over gameplaying.
It's my 37th birthday! I spent most of the morning reading while Ashley got the day started. We headed into town for donuts but traffic was slow due to snow on the roads so I cleared her work car while she gathered paperwork and then we met for pastries at Nature's Oasis before heading our separate ways. In to the store for a bit. I painted with my new watercolor set and tried out the watercolor canvas with the view of Hogsback - not bad! Headed home with Ashley and I worked down in the basement for a bit more (paying taxes and such, boo!) and then supper and my scavenger hunt was ready. Stuffed shells, stuffed mushrooms and brownies. Fabulous! We watched a movie and then headed to bed after a short bit of reading. Great day!
Slept well in the basement, undisturbed by cries and rustling in the night.Ashley made breakfast for us. She called the lactation consultant andseemed much relieved after their conversation. Off to work for theafternoon. Home and we watched a movie and had steaks for supper -delicious!
After waking and having snacks for breakfast we packed and loaded up thecar. Great way to start out a new decade, with views of Zyon canyon! Wechecked out from the hotel, drove into the park and through the tunnels, stopped to play on the cliff rock faces for a bit (the same place with Lilythat Ashley and I climbed during our previous visit) then headed home.Grabbed lunch along the way, and had supper at the classic Denny's inCortez. Lily took a really short nap and was pretty tired by this point. Wegot home, unloaded the car, and put Lily to bed. After getting settled weread for a bit before going to bed ourselves. Mom's present arrived, asigned copy of the Dinotopia book that rounded out my collection!
Ashley and Lily barely made it down the stairs before they sang me HappyBirthday. We headed to the Smiley Building for Lily's art class. Before itstarted, she and I walked around the building so she could see some more ofthe place. Dropped her off at class then Ashley and I had breakfast atDoughworks, then ran some errands and went for a walk. After class weheaded home for nap time. Afterward Ashley made cupcakes. Lily rode herbicycle in the driveway a bit. We moved the RV next to the garage, loadedthe picnic table on the trailer, and otherwise shuffled around vehicles.Lily talked to Britt on the phone for quite awhile. Lots of stimulation andsugar so Lily had a hard time getting to bed. Read for a bit before bed.
