tinkered with bike (replaced some missing bolts), made shrimp-stuffed-avocados, and uploaded Emily with Pizza drawing to F-H website. Mom received her Trixie drawing
Cleaned house, made beans and rice, generally got ready for Ashley to comehome. Got follow-up info about the art installation proposal - I was astrong contender but needed more detail about community/kids workshops(like backup plans) and lower-maintenance surface treatments. Ashley madeit home and I met her at the airport, then home for the evening.
The pellet stove wasn't working in the morning, which frustrated both of us. After breakfast I added the pull chain to the hanging light in the bedroom so that we could turn it off and leave the wall sconces on (much better!) and then took the stove apart and cleaned it up. That seemed to fix it, so we're back up and running. I think we were over-filling it and making the motor work too hard and messing it up. It's been working ever since and we definitely aren't packing it so tightly. Ashley put together the beef and Guinness stew - though it took way longer than anticipated so we're going to have it tomorrow. We used up the filo dough on a quick pizza for supper. Started planning out a vacation trip and narrowed the options down to Alaska so that's exciting - maybe around our anniversary! Read fora bit before bed.
Lily didn't sleep well (and thus neither did Ashley.) She was fussy most ofthe day, or outright crying. Made for an awfully long day, especially forAshley who grew worried that something was wrong. During a break I wentinto Bayfield and got waffle fries and rootbeer as a treat for Ashley sincewe couldn't split ice creams. I sat with Lily for a bunch of the day.Ashley was finally able to get a bit of sleep late at night while I washolding Lily - who finally dozed off after the 10:00ish meal. Held her andwatched videos on youtube.
Woke in the hotel - up early, before the alarm, which is nice. Grabbed anomelette for breakfast and read for a bit while eating, then worked on amock-up of a website for the artWORK course. Then on to the store for theday. Home for the evening - great to see Ashley and Lily! Steaks forsupper, sous vide and finished on the grill. Read for just a bit before bed.
Slept better last night and less groggy this morning. We had about 2quot ofsnow waiting for us this morning. It was an overcast morning, so wecouldn't see the moon - Lily was disappointed to miss it this morning. Wehad breakfast and spent some time running around the house before everyonepacked up to leave. Ashley and Lily went to the library (then later to theDollar Store for playdoh) and I headed to the store for the day. Jillstarted today. I did a bunch of admin tasks then cleaned up Dick's paintingand started the repair process. Home while Lily was in the bath so I wasable to help get her wrapped up for the evening and in to bed. Thenchatting over creme brulee and reading before bed.
