2017: Woke up with a headache and decided to have a leisurely day-not too much activity. Little morning walk on the Rio Grande Nature Trail provided great views of the surrounding area and the Mexican town of Boquillos in the distance. There were little wire figurines at trail intersections made by the local Mexicans. They cross the river (illegally I presume) and set up their wares and a money collection bottle, then cross back over. Never been on a trail and seen that before! We even saw the guy placing them and then watched as he scuddled back to the other side of the Rio. Then we rode our road bikes to Boquillos Canyon and did the short hike. Ride was tougher than we thought it'd be. Lots of hills. Got back to the RV around lunch time, ate, and then tried not to move the rest of the day because it was so hot and worse in the sun. When evening approached and temps cooled down we rode the motorcycle to Hot Springs. Looked around and felt the 105 degree pool of water. There were a lot of people there so we chose not to get in - not a fan of soaking in people soup :). Back to the RV for more stargazing and dinner.20
